THE KINGDOM IS COMING! ARE YOU READY?

“THE RIGHT TIME HAS COME,” HE SAID,
“AND THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR!
TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SINS AND BELIEVE THE GOOD NEWS!”

These are the first recorded words of Jesus (according to
Mark 1:15). But what is the Kingdom of God and how do ‘you’ enter it?

Jesus is coming back to be King over the whole earth (Psalm 2:8). He will resurrect the true believers and reign in righteousness. There will be no more war, suffering, or death. The earth will be totally renovated to be an absolute paradise. God will wipe away the tears from His people. The ones who follow King Jesus will help him rule the world, and the wicked will be destroyed (Revelation 2:26; 1 Corinthians 6:2; Daniel 7:27).

“But when the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him; and he will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats…Then the King will say to those on his right, Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” Matthew 25:31-34

Jesus taught, “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5). Revelation teaches, “You [Jesus] were slain, and purchased for God with your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.”
(Revelation 5:9-10).

God originally intended for mankind to be on the earth — righteous, peaceful, holy, and in perfect harmony with Him. By the time the Bible concludes and God’s plan is complete, we again see the paradise of God restored and the New Jerusalem, God’s holy city, coming down out of heaven to the earth (Revelation 21:2).

The tree of life is again featured as the centrepiece of paradise (Revelation 22:2).

It may shock you, but Jesus never preached that the faithful would go to heaven. Instead, he repeatedly said that they would “enter the kingdom”
(Matthew 5:20; 7:21; Mark 9:47; 10:15; Luke 18:25; John 3:5).
In fact, Jesus was sent for the very purpose of preaching the message of the Kingdom (Luke 4:43). In order to obey Jesus’ first command,
you must believe in this “kingdom of God” (Mark 1:14-15).

“He who overcomes, and he who keeps my deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations” Revelation 2:26

Would you like to enter this glorious coming Kingdom? You must acknowledge that the consequence of sin is death and realise that you need God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). He has provided the escape route from mankind’s inevitable road to destruction. Your old life can be erased and you can be a part of this bright future (2 Corinthians 5:17). Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and that he was raised to life by God (Romans 10:9-10).

Accept God’s forgiveness, turn from your life of sin, and begin to do what God says is right. Make Jesus the Lord of your life and follow his words, which serve as the directions to paradise. Jesus died for your sins. Accept his sacrifice for you and follow his words.

“Although he was a Son, he learned obedience from the things that he suffered and having been made perfect, he became to all those who obey him the source of eternal salvation”

The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.
Psalm 37:29

And the wolf will dwell with the lamb,
And the leopard will lie down with the young goat,
And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little boy will lead them.
They will not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,
For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD
As the waters cover the sea.
Isaiah 11:6, 9
